At the final table, the champion faced experienced opponents. One of them was Peter Charalambous, a British veteran who has nearly US$ 1 million in live earnings. He was eliminated in fifth place and received £7,140. Shortly after, Paul Orritt left the tournament in a decisive hand against Lilian Welch.

With only 3 big blinds, Orritt announced all-in holding J3 and received a call from T9. The flop brought a J, making the double-up very close. However, the turn completed a straight for Welch, who eliminated another opponent in the final stretch of the competition.

Finally, when the tournament reached 3-handed, the survivors opted for a financial deal. The players split most of the prize pool and left an extra £7,500 reserved for the champion, in addition to the trophy. After that, Lilian Welch eliminated the last two opponents and made history at UKPL Blackpool.
