In addition, the final featured experienced and well-known names from the circuit. Jason faced Venezuelan Dorian Rios in the heads-up and secured the title after a long battle for the bracelet. The runner-up took home US$ 127,528, while Swede Per Hildebrand completed the podium with US$ 87,038.

Meanwhile, one of the highlights of the final table was the presence of Perry Green, a legendary poker player who has played heads-up in the Main Event against Stu Ungar. At 90 years old, he reached sixth place and earned US$ 30,973, once again showing impressive longevity in the circuit.

However, the path to the bracelet was not simple. Jason Daly had to overcome one of the most technical fields at the start of the series. The tournament distributed a prize pool of US$ 1,099,170 and brought together several specialists in “mixed games.” Brazilian Renan Bruschi, for example, finished 14th for US$ 10,304.

After the victory, the champion highlighted the experience of sharing tables with historic poker players. “It was very cool”, he said when commenting about Perry Green. “Some friends from my hometown know him. They have said he is an old-school legend”, he added in an interview with “PokerNews.”

In addition, Jason celebrated winning a bracelet early in the series. “It’s good to win at the start of summer, instead of spending US$ 100,000 trying to recover losses”, joked the American. “This time we’re starting ahead. I’m going to play many tournaments”, he concluded.

Finally, the heads-up against Venezuelan Dorian Rios was long and balanced. Daly gained a big advantage over the hands, having almost six times more chips than his opponent at the dinner break. After that, the South American managed to tie again, but soon the American finished the battle to win the third bracelet of his WSOP career.
