Ivan Limeira wins Grand High Roller and earns R$ 500,000 at BSOP Summer

Wednesday (28) of BSOP Summer was, without a doubt, a day of very important titles. At the tables of Costa do Sauípe (BA), six champions were crowned, including Aloísio Dourado in the Main Event. Among the side events, the professional Ivan Limeira stood out, who clinched the valuable Grand High Roller.

One of the main and most expensive competitions at BSOP Summer, the Grand High Roller had a buy-in of R$ 15,000 and lasted three days. As soon as the competition ended, Ivan Limeira confirmed his victory over a field of 173 entries, pocketing no less than R$ 500,000. In a final table filled with big names, he beat Gregory Fabião in heads-up, while Hélio Neves completed the podium.

However, the runner-up, Carlos Alberto Alves, had a better performance in hunting bounties and ended up with a larger prize, totaling R$ 176,000.

In the early morning, the Night Turbo PKO caught attention. With a buy-in of R$ 1,500, the tournament attracted 146 entries, and combining the regular prize with the collected bounties, the champion Bernardo Gomes took home a great prize, above the usual for tournament editions. In summary, Gomes pocketed R$ 41,500, with Matheus Souza in second place for R$ 25,250, and the Argentine Cristian Vilches in third for R$ 18,000.

Finally, two more players shouted “I’m the champion” in the BSOP Summer hall. In the day’s Mixed Games competition, Julio Steffen won the R$ 2,500 Mixed Big Bet, becoming the best among 16 competitors to pocket R$ 13,000. In the Super 500, Hélvio Queiroz overcame the 188 entries, leaving with R$ 16,000.
