Just as in the inaugural session on Wednesday (18), BSOP São Paulo crowned four more champions on Thursday (19). Among them, the highlight was André Silveira, who won the 1-Day High Roller PKO. After facing adversities during the competition’s bubble period, he bounced back and won in great style, beating none other than Caio Hey in heads-up.

In an interview with BSOP 360 after the victory, André Silveira confessed that he was hanging by a thread at the bubble moment. To avoid elimination and reach the ITM, he held back, and his stack dried up until only 1 big blind remained. “When it burst, I think I went all in three or four times in the dark“, the player confessed. However, the strategy worked, and the sequence of folds put him back in contention.
