Even before the last day of EPT Monte Carlo, this Sunday (10), the trip of Brazilian professional Kelvin Kerber to Monaco was already remarkable. In the 50K SHR 2nd Chance, the Samba Team player had reached his big hit by making it to the heads-up. However, in the final session of the festival, he renewed this mark with another runner-up finish.

This time, Kelvin Kerber took silver in the € 25,000 High Roller, a traditional high buy-in event in the final stretch of EPT festivals. He made a deal in the heads-up with Latvian Aleksejs Ponakovs, and at the end of the campaign, secured € 809,020. It was the second largest share of the € 4,802,000 prize pool.

By securing the title, Ponakovs earned € 839,430. Finally, Manuel Carvalho from Portugal completed the podium with € 452,850. And besides that, Brazil had another highlight in this High Roller. Kelvin Kerber’s teammate in the Samba Team, Matheus Machado was also at the same FT, finishing in fifth place for € 267,950.

To close EPT Monte Carlo with a flourish, Brazil won a title on the final Sunday. The result came in Event 58 (€ 330 No-Limit Hold’em), at the hands of Nathaly Faria. The player overcame the entire field of 131 entries, ultimately pocketing € 7,348 for the achievement. There was a deal in the 3-handed with Frenchman Anthony Manzone and Italian Raffaele Tripodi, who each took home € 6,350.
