Thus, in the edition released this Wednesday (3), the owner of seven WSOP bracelets defined the hall of the Paris & Horseshoe complex as a true “Madhouse”, an expression that can be translated as “house of madness” or simply a chaotic and extremely busy environment.
However, despite the curious definition, Negreanu made it clear that he considers the place special for any game lover. According to him, every poker player should experience playing the WSOP during the North American summer.
Additionally, the Canadian showed all the action from Day 2 of Event #11 (US$ 10,000 GGMillion$ High Roller), the live version of the traditional weekly tournament held at GGPoker. During the video, he showed important moments of his journey in the tournament and commented on some strategic decisions.
Negreanu doubles early and gains confidence

Among the highlights of the episode, Negreanu revealed that he entered the day determined to quickly increase his chip stack. Shortly after, he found an opportunity to put the plan into practice.
Thus, the Canadian went all-in with A7o and received a call from an opponent holding QJs. Despite the numerous possibilities created by the board for a straight and flush, the best hand held up until the river.
After confirming the double, Negreanu celebrated the favorable situation. “Now, we can play poker”, the Canadian said during the vlog.
Hand against Thomas Boivin became a highlight of the video

However, the most analyzed moment of the episode involved Belgian Thomas Boivin. During one of the tournament breaks, Negreanu took the opportunity to explain in detail the reasoning adopted in a hand that ended with a big pot going to the opponent.
The action took place at blinds 3,000/5,000 with big blind ante. Negreanu opened raise to 11,000 from middle position holding A6 of clubs. Boivin called from the cutoff, while the button and big blind also completed the bet.
The flop brought KQ6 with no cards of the same suit. After the big blind checked, Negreanu decided to bet 20,000 chips and explained the reason for the choice.

“Usually, in pots with more players, you should bluff less often”, the Canadian commented, before explaining that he intended to put Boivin in an uncomfortable situation.
Only the Belgian called the bet. Shortly after, Negreanu continued detailing the read he had on the opponent’s range.
“He doesn’t have two napkins, he will have a K, a Q, or some straight draws”, he analyzed.
Read seemed correct, but result was different

The turn brought a 4 and both players opted to check. Then, the river presented an 8, a card that did not complete obvious flush possibilities.
With the pot already accumulating 92,000 chips, Negreanu began a long reflection about the possible combinations of the rival.
“What does he have? Most likely a Q, maybe with J, with T, or even AQ that checked. He could also do this with a KJ, or a KT. What he doesn’t have is two pairs”, he explained.
Thus, the Canadian turned the read into action and fired a bet of 125,000 chips. However, Boivin quickly found the call and showed AKo for top pair with the best kicker.
Finally, Negreanu saw the big pot slip away and used the result as another opportunity to share his thought process with fans. After all, one of the trademarks of the Canadian’s vlogs is precisely to show not only the results but also the decisions that happen during each important WSOP hand.
