Daniel Araújo wins bronze at the Bounty Hunters HR Main Event and nears six figures

In another of GGPoker’s valuable Sundays, professional Daniel Araújo was the great Brazilian highlight. The co-founder of Aldeia Team reached the podium of the imposing Bounty Hunters HR Main Event US$ 525, leading the country’s results list this Sunday (1st) on the site with a prize of almost six figures.

This edition of the Bounty Hunters HR Main Event registered 4,299 entries, and Daniel Araújo was able to finish in third place. Thus, he pocketed US$ 99,415. The second largest haul for Brazil in the session also came in this competition, with “Lobo Cinzento”, who finished fifth for US$ 69,936.

However, the Sunday session also had a good number of Brazilian victories. The main one was by professional Kelvin Kerber, from Samba Team, who won the Sunday High Rollers Heater US$ 1,050. He became the best among 216 competitors, earning US$ 46,129.

Similarly, Eduardo Silva won the Sunday Main Event US$ 250, overcoming a field of 1,162 entries for a haul of US$ 36,409. Among the cheaper tournaments, Brazil had a double in The Weekender US$ 50, with Younes Maghous beating 6,259 total actions for US$ 28,953, and the runner-up Jefferson Dosso taking US$ 22,305.

This week, the GGMillion$ High Rollers – which had an adjustment in its buy-in, from US$ 10,300 to US$ 10,000 – registered 267 entries, but will not have any Brazilians at the final table. The best-placed player from the country was Rodrigo Selouan, who reached the ITM and finished 15th out of 267, pocketing US$ 31,167.
