BSOP Summer: Alisson Piekazewicz beats Léo Rizzo to take down 50K HR Championship

The BSOP Summer concluded its events with many titles being decided throughout Friday (30) and Saturday (31). At the tables in Costa do Sauípe (BA), Victor Onizuka was the big highlight by winning the BSOP Championship, but besides him, 12 others celebrated titles, including the star Alisson Piekazewicz.

One of the biggest names among Brazilian poker professionals, Alisson Piekazewicz won the High Roller Championship, a R$ 50,000 buy-in tournament at BSOP Summer. Among 14 competitors, he became champion and took home R$ 310,000, beating Léo Rizzo in heads-up. The runner-up received R$ 190,000, while the third-place finisher Dan Almeida took R$ 123,620.

Besides this competition, the final stretch of BSOP Summer had two other High Rollers. In the R$ 15,000 2-Day High Roller, Peruvian Gerardo Rodríguez overcame the field of 86 entries, taking R$ 300,000. In the R$ 10,000 Last Chance High Roller PKO, Henrique Lessa was the best among 92 entries, pocketing R$ 204,000.

Another title that yielded the same prize as Rodríguez’s was the Mini Championship. However, the difference in this competition was that the entries cost “only” R$ 6,000, attracting 319 actions. Finally, Leonardo Carlessi took the title, pocketing R$ 300,000. Diego Dutra, with R$ 195,000, was the runner-up, and Mateus Medeiros completed the top 3.

Furthermore, another result from this final stretch gave six figures to the champion. It was for Diones Lopes, champion of the R$ 6,000 6-Max PKO. By beating the field of 69 entries and collecting bounties, he pocketed R$ 106,000, a big leap compared to the runner-up Cleider Machado, who left with R$ 49,000.

And several other highlights made the BSOP Summer close its activities in great style. Among them, two foreigners: Chilean Jorge Romero won the R$ 4,000 6-Max, passing through 84 entries to take R$ 67,000. Bolivian Leonardo Morales clinched the last Super 500, becoming the best among 170 competitors to pull R$ 15,000.
