Iago Botelho makes heads-up in the US$ 5,200 Titans of the SCOOP Warm-Up

Increasingly, Iago Botelho is establishing his name among the greats of Brazilian poker, especially online. This Sunday (8), he achieved another significant result, reaching the heads-up of the special Titans Event of the SCOOP Warm-Up on PokerStars’ virtual tables.

With a buy-in of US$5,200, the Titans was the most expensive event of the session on the red site, valid as Event 34-High of the SCOOP Warm-Up. Among 32 competitors, Iago Botelho “stek94” took second place, pocketing US$47,502. Diego Costa “Dih21” also cashed, finishing fourth for US$15,136.

However, this was not Brazil’s only standout performance on Sunday. On the contrary, the country had several other notable results. In Event 31-High (US$215 NLH PKO StacKOsaurus), Eder Campana “edercampana” was third among 812 entries, taking home US$11,493.

Still in the series, Danilo Vieira “rony’s123” was third in an impressive field of 5,118 entries in the 32-Medium (US$55 NLH PKO Mini Bounty Builder HR), taking home US$9,841. Shortly after in the standings, “PrototypeBr” took US$9,118 in fourth place. In the 30-High (US$109 NLH Early Run), Fábio Eiji “binhoeiji” was also third, this time among 1,186 entries, securing US$9,477.

However, it wasn’t just the SCOOP Warm-Up that yielded good figures for Brazil in this session led by Iago Botelho. Among the regular tournaments, Alysson Bruno “Brunopoker94” won the US$109 Sunday Fenomeno, surpassing 549 entries for US$9,693. In the US$109 Sunday Cooldown, “Caoína” was second out of 835 entries for US$6,638, with Daniel Araújo “danieldl7” in fourth (US$6,630) and “gganbu” cashing with envelopes, totaling US$6,190 in 70th place.
