Alex Foxen won Event 18 (US$ 75.000 PLO 6-Handed), overcoming a field of 60 entries. For this feat, he pocketed US$ 1.260.000, the largest share of the US$ 4,5 million prize pool. In a final table filled with established names and Omaha specialists, he defeated Finland’s Eelis Parssinen in heads-up play.
Foxen’s path to the title was marked by consistency. He started the FT as the chip leader, and right at the beginning, pulled a large pot against Philip Sternheimer to pull away. From then on, he managed and leveraged his advantage by applying pressure, making eliminations. In the final showdown, he gave Parssinen no chance, winning simply all five hands played.
