Winning a tournament at the KSOP Iguazú always represents a special moment in any player’s career. Even better when the result comes on the very first day of the series, in a High Roller. Furthermore, the achievement gains even more value when it happens outside the country. This is exactly what the Paraná native Bruno Zeizer, champion of the High Roller Light at KSOP Iguazú, achieved.

Thus, the tournament with a buy-in of R$ 7,500 registered 14 entries. As a result, only the top three finishers guaranteed prize money. Rafael Wagenfuhr finished in third place and received R$ 16,980. The runner-up was Ramon Pessoa, one of the most well-known names on the circuit, who took home R$ 25,500.
In addition, the champion celebrated the opportunity to win a live dispute. “I can’t explain it, but the game is different, live is different. You see everything your opponent does. Man, I really love playing live,” said Bruno Zeizer in an interview with Mundo Poker. He also revealed his desire to continue participating in the next stages of the circuit.
However, the path to the title required a lot of work. Bruno Zeizer led a large part of the final table, but encountered difficulties in confrontations against Ramon Pessoa. “I tried to be aggressive, I had a lot of chips. Sometimes he even got close to a million, but I kept putting chips on the felt to see,” stated the champion in an interview with Mundo Poker.

A long decisive duel

Thus, to finally lift the trophy, Bruno Zeizer had to play a heads-up match that lasted more than two hours against Ramon Pessoa. “The heads-up is complicated, maybe I wasn’t trusting myself that much, but a lot happened and it worked out,” commented the player after the achievement.
However, this will probably not be the only tournament for Bruno Zeizer in the series. Initially, he planned to play only the High Roller Light, but the victory ended up completely changing his plans for the coming days.
Finally, the champion revealed that he intends to register for the Warm-Up or the High Roller One Day. It is worth noting that the KSOP Iguazú continues until the 9th and offers dozens of opportunities for players to fight for titles and big prizes.
