On Thursday (29), the Brazilian highlight at the virtual tables of GGPoker was Gabriel Medeiros. The professional went far in the Thursday Throwdown HR US$ 1,050, the site’s weekly tournament that always distributes big prizes. Even though he was a few positions away from the title, he still secured the biggest prize of the day among players from the country.

This week’s Thursday Throwdown HR US$ 1,050 registered 417 entries. Among these competitors, Gabriel Medeiros managed to reach fourth place, and this performance earned him US$ 31,144. A little further down, Eduardo Silva finished in seventh place for US$ 11,465.
In the more accessible version of the event, the Thursday Throwdown US$ 150, two Brazilians also had good campaigns. “Fino y Elegante” reached the podium, finishing third out of 1,638 players for US$ 14,455. Shortly after in the standings was Gabriel Haeffner, aka “AskYourGhost”, taking US$ 7,010 in fifth place.
The only one who came close to Gabriel Medeiros’s figure in the session was Daniel da Silva. The player did well in the Bounty Hunters HR US$ 525, finishing fourth out of 880 players for US$ 26,838. Additionally, in the valuable daily Bounty Hunters Daily Main US$ 54, Marco Oliveira finished third out of 6,223 entries, taking home US$ 14,362.

And just like in the previous day’s session, performances in the GGMasters Special events once again stood out, despite having a buy-in of only US$ 25. In the Double Stack, Jefferson Dosso took first place among 3,096 entries for US$ 10,593, with “Spewzamos” in second (US$ 7,942).
Similarly, two other pairs of Brazilians featured on podiums. In the US$ 25 GGMasters Classic Special, “TuSSaUM” and Paulo Dias participated in a deal, taking home US$ 9,151 and US$ 9,212 for their respective second and third places. In the Bounty Warm-Up, Luís Maciel was second out of 6,789 players for US$ 9,117, while Raphael Coelho, aka “Phaelzin”, was third (US$ 7,876).
