Overall, the KSOP South America Main Event registered 743 entries, returning for the final dispute with the nine remaining players. By overcoming this entire field, Rafael Loiola secured R$ 340,000, the amount reserved for the first-place finisher after the deal.
The deal also stipulated R$ 300,000 for each of the players who finished between second and fourth, and R$ 270,000 for fifth. Giovane Camargo, eliminated in the heads-up, came close to the tournament’s largest prize, but the cards had other plans. Loiola knew how to handle the chance he got and didn’t waste it.

In summary, the final table featured Rafael Régis as the standout player. Responsible for several eliminations, especially at the beginning of the final, the player surged ahead. However, after the deal, he adopted a riskier strategy, and ended up finishing in third place. Loiola and Camargo, therefore, faced off in the final confrontation.

And by a river card, Camargo was not the big winner. With AQ, he saw Rafael Loiola risk everything, and the favorable showdown showed that his opponent had A4. However, the board ran K52A3, forming a straight on the river for Loiola. From then on, the player from Mato Grosso surged ahead and raced to victory, closing out the deal with a Q5 versus 96 on the 8542J board.
A professional from Standard Backing, Rafael Loiola is increasingly prominent on virtual tables as well. The peak came last month when he managed to reach the podium of the giant APL Series Main Event on GGPoker. For third place among over 15,000 competitors, the player earned US$ 407,000.
