The first night of BSOP One, a luxury stage of Brazilian poker, took place this Thursday (18th) at the Unique Hotel in São Paulo. The big highlight was the High Roller with an entry fee of R$ 100,000, which registered 32 players. However, only one of them shouted champion.

Thus, the coveted title went to veteran Will Arruda. He gave no chances to the competition and climbed to the top of the podium, earning a prize of R$ 878,000. Host of the night, the football player Neymar, had a good performance and finished in an honorable 4th place, receiving R$ 350,000.
However, the podium of the dispute was also composed with the Peruvian Gerardo Rodriguez Ulloa in 2nd place for R$ 822,000. Thiago Crema was awarded the symbolic bronze medal and finished in 3rd place, pocketing R$ 450,000.

Paula Katrynne wins the Ladies event

However, this was not the only dispute finalized on that date. The Ladies event also took place with a buy-in of R$ 1,000 and registered 26 entries. The one who did well in the tournament was Paula Katrynne, the champion of this stage, pocketing a prize of R$ 7,500.

Thus, the player said that the final table was very special, as she was alongside friends. The heads-up was against Danielle Silva and the moment will be kept in memory, as the two have a great friendship.
Finally, the champion told the organization how it was. “She had never reached this moment of playing HU, it was her first time. I wanted to win, but it was also nice to see her doubling up and having the possibility of winning”, said Katrynne.
