Among 94 entries, the professional Dan Almeida was able to secure third place. For this performance, he received US$ 28,090, the main Brazilian prize so far in the festival. The WSOP Circuit ring went to Norwegian Birger Larsen, a figure already known in the South American live scene, including Brazil.

As soon as he overcame the entire field, Larsen pocketed US$ 65,180, in addition to the ring. It was the largest share of the US$ 239,700 prize pool, which rewarded the top 15 finishers. In the heads-up, the Norwegian defeated Argentine Roberto Cimarosa, who took home US$ 41,900.
