In an interview with “Poker.org,” the Canadian revealed that he experienced some days of rest during the WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas and approved of the experience. “It was good, like I recharged my energy”, the player said.

Competing in the WSOP tournament marathon requires intense physical preparation, and Daniel Negreanu assures he is currently living one of the best phases of his life. In the same interview, the Canadian star highlighted the balance in his routine. “I wake up at 6 a.m. and go to bed at 9 p.m., I play golf and I am very relaxed”, he commented.

Regarding his diet during the WSOP, Negreanu recalled that he follows a vegan diet but admitted that he tends to be quite flexible with his eating habits throughout the series. “When you’re tired, your body craves food and often doesn’t want a broccoli salad with raisins, it wants nachos covered in chocolate with popcorn and peanut butter”, joked the Canadian.

Finally, Negreanu also commented on the big news involving the WSOP Main Event. This year, the finalists will have approximately a month’s break between the final table determination and the decisive battle for the world title. According to the Canadian, the pause can greatly help in promoting the event. “We have this window of opportunity to promote the game. It’s not a very long period, but it’s enough to do everything right”, concluded the player, who dreams of reaching the final of the most important poker tournament in the world.
