American Nick Schulman is one of the most respected figures in the world of poker. A Hall of Fame Member, he won his eighth WSOP (World Series of Poker) bracelet last summer in the US and continued his good streak. This journey culminated in the title of the US$ 100,000 Main Event at Triton Jeju, decided this Wednesday (16) in South Korea.

Even though he has been a frequent presence in high-caliber tournaments for a long time, this achievement by Nick Schulman at Triton Jeju was so huge that it broke the record for the biggest prize of his career. By surpassing the field of 196 entries in the six-figure buy-in competition, he pocketed US$ 3,854,888, the largest share of the US$ 19.6 million prize pool.
This amount awarded to Schulman was decided after a deal between him and the Austrian Bernhard Binder in the heads-up. Much newer on the scene, appearing after cashing US$ 10 million with the title of the Super Main Event at the last WSOP Paradise, the European recorded his third seven-figure cash of his career, taking US$ 3,080,112.
The final table of the Triton Jeju Main Event brought together big names and promoted valuable actions. This is because the top five finishers would receive seven-figure cashes. And the competition proved balanced, with six of the nine finalists reaching the decision with stacks between 34 and 54 big blinds.

This balance remained, even though Schulman was mainly responsible for the eliminations. He surged in the 4-handed, which started with the four remaining players with stacks close to 30 bbs, but saw the American grow. In the heads-up, Schulman maintained the lead at all times until closing the deal with KK versus KJo.
