The EPT Barcelona 2026 starts this Sunday (16) with one of the most anticipated schedules on the international calendar. The Casino Barcelona once again hosts the poker elite. In addition, the stage runs until August 29 and features 79 events on the schedule.

Thus, Barcelona holds a special place in the history of the European Poker Tour. The city hosted the first stage of the circuit in 2004. Since then, the Catalan capital has established itself as one of the main stops in world poker. In fact, the seven largest fields in the history of EPT Main Events took place in Barcelona.
However, the 2026 schedule caters to different player profiles. Buy-ins start at € 330 and go up to € 100,000. Besides No-Limit Hold’em, the festival will feature Pot-Limit Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, HORSE, 8-Game, and 9-Game. The schedule also includes Mystery Bounty, Seniors, Ladies, and Hyper Turbo.
Additionally, the festival brings together tournaments for different investment levels. The PokerStars Open Main Event, with a buy-in of € 1,650, starts this Sunday and will have eight qualifiers. Meanwhile, the EPT Main Event, at € 5,300, will have two Day 1s and will take place between August 22 and 29.

€100K Super High Roller is the highlight of the schedule
However, among the main tournaments, the €100,000 Super High Roller stands out as the highest buy-in of the stage. The competition takes place between August 21 and 23. In addition, the calendar includes the €3,250 Mystery Bounty and the traditional €10,300 High Roller, which will have a spot in the final stretch of the festival.
Thus, the moment of Spanish poker raises expectations for the stage. Adrián Mateos arrives in high form after winning his sixth WSOP bracelet. However, the previous edition had international prominence. The French Alexis Nicolai and Thomas Eychenne were some of the highlights.
Finally, the EPT Barcelona maintains a characteristic that helps explain its importance in the circuit. In the last edition, players from more than 100 countries participated in the festival. Thus, Barcelona once again brings together tradition, major tournaments, and some of the biggest names in world poker in another edition of the event.
