Thus, to reach the trophy, Caiaffa had to overcome a field of 232 entries of R$ 4,000. In addition, the champion faced more than eight hours of decision. In the end, he took home R$ 119,000, as well as a commemorative ring and the special tournament trophy.
Additionally, during the final table, Rafael Caiaffa faced names such as Jorge Heberson, Paulo Monteiro, Jarbas Platini, Renan Revinthis, Marcelo Gadelha, Marcos Grassi, Claudio Piedrabuena and Wildmmer Kito. Thus, the long decision required experience and patience from the player from Minas Gerais.
In this way, at 3-handed, Caiaffa was left with few chips. However, he managed to react and returned to the fight. Later, Claudio Piedrabuena proposed a deal to guarantee at least R$ 100,000 for each player. Rafael and Wildmmer accepted and continued fighting for the title.
