Playing under the account “maderinha22”, Carlos Madeira outlasted the entire field of 2,424 entries in Event 42-Medium (US$ 55 NLH), and for this feat, pocketed US$ 18,357. His last opponent on the way was Pedro Paulo “PPPedroPaulo”, who took US$ 13,085 in second place.
In the more expensive version, 42-High (US$ 530 NLH), Brazil was one step away from the title. Tauan Naves “kylix42” finished second out of 244, taking home US$ 18,261. However, in 42-Low (US$ 5.50 NLH), a country representative did not let the title slip away: “madeinRS” beat the field of 5,802 entries to become champion and take US$ 4,268.

Besides Carlos Madeira and Pedro Paulo, two other pairs earned well at WCOOP. In 38-Low (US$ 109 NLH PKO Sunday Special), Felipe Morelli “FelipeAA23” was fifth out of 6,860 for US$ 17,706, with Thiago Taira “tairones13” in sixth (US$ 11,363).
In 43-High (US$ 2,100 NLH PKO Bounty Builder SHR), Dennys Ramos “dennysramos2” finished fifth among 112 entries, taking US$ 14,343, while Felipe Boianovsky “lipe piv” was seventh, earning US$ 7,140.
