The 2026 edition of the WPT World Championship will take place from November 27 to December 21, at the Wynn in Las Vegas (USA). The Main Event, with a buy-in of US$ 10,400, remains without a guarantee, but the other major contests have guaranteed prize pools, including a new tournament.
The novelty of the next WPT World Championship is the Super Gold Million. This competition aims to cater to lower limit players, as it has a buy-in of US$ 400. The guarantee, in turn, is US$ 3 million, and taking place from December 10 to 14, it becomes the highlight of the middle of the festival’s schedule.
This is because the Main Event happens in the final stretch, and the first days feature the US$ 1,100 WPT Prime Championship. This competition runs from December 5 to 12 and has US$ 5 million guaranteed in the prize pool, and in the last edition, paid out more than US$ 1 million to the champion after recording just under 10,000 entries.

Mystery envelopes in the Main Event
As for the main event, the WPT World Championship with a buy-in of US$ 10,400, it has no guarantee, but it is sure to have big payouts. The last champion, for example, earned more than US$ 2 million. And in 2026, the tournament will have US$ 1 million added in Mystery Bounties, adding extra excitement to the final stretch of the competition.
In short, besides these three competitions, the North American festival will also have several other attractions in different formats and modalities. For example, Omaha, TORSE, Big O, and more. Unlike its main year-end competitor, the WSOP Paradise, it will have great attractions for players with more modest bankrolls, with buy-ins ranging from US$ 400 to US$ 25,800, while the Bahamas festival will focus more on High Rollers.
