The Enjoy Poker Tour Main Event had entries at US$ 1,650 and recorded 580 entries, jumping from the guaranteed US$ 700,000 to a prize pool of US$ 843,900. Renato Grossi qualified for the FT with the shortest stack, and when he received KQo, he tried to double up. Unfortunately for him, Uruguayan Christian Choca woke up with AKo and went for the clash, confirming the victory on the AT488 board and eliminating the Brazilian.

With a ninth-place finish among 580 entries, Renato Grossi secured a prize of US$ 16,045. The action unfolded with Choca’s dominance until he ran into Carlos Serrano. The Colombian pulled in good pots to take the lead and dispatched the Uruguayan in sixth, taking the spotlight from then on.

Serrano reached heads-up against Russian Oleg Bukhtiiarov, and the stacks were even. After a few lead changes, the Colombian opened a slight advantage and, in a pre-flop action, 4-bet all in putting his opponent against the wall. Bukhtiiarov called, putting his survival at risk, but his AJo was no match for Serrano’s 55, who closed the deal on the KT37K board.

Beyond Renato Grossi: more Brazilian results in Uruguay

Also on Wednesday, Brazil appeared at another final table at the Enjoy Poker Tour. In the US$ 1,100 Seniors, a tournament restricted to players aged 45 or older, five competitors remained on the Final Day. Vinícius Pinheiro led the chip count comfortably, while Walter Oaquim was also present as a short stack.

However, Pinheiro finished in second place in the field of 212 entries, pocketing US$ 34,675. This was because the night belonged entirely to Argentine Julio Belluscio, who ran over his opponents and only stopped at the top of the podium, boasting US$ 49,975 and the trophy. Oaquim, for his part, managed a payjump and finished in fourth, leaving with US$ 12,820.
