Rodrigo Selouan reaches fifth place in the GGMillion$; Pedro Neves wins

On this Tuesday (12), Rodrigo Selouan completed another campaign in editions of the GGMillion$ High Rollers US$ 10,000. After starting the final table among the shortest stacks, the Brazilian pro achieved good pay jumps, reaching fifth place and cashing six figures.

This week’s GGMillion$, valid for the GGWF (GGPoker World Festival), recorded 257 entries, and by finishing in fifth place, Rodrigo Selouan earned US$ 170,129. At the start of the FT, he was eighth in chip count, and although he did not take the lead, he won important pots to hold on and climb the leaderboard.

This survival lasted until the 5-handed when, with less than 10 bbs, he tried to double up with A2s and received a call from Yannick Schneider, who dominated him with ATs. After the turn, the board showed QT38 with 38 of hearts, the suit the Brazilian held, but the river was the 8 of spades, ending Selouan’s hopes.

It’s four-time: Pedro Neves on top again

The big highlight of this final table, however, was the Portuguese Pedro Neves. For the fourth time, he was crowned champion of the GGMillion$, pocketing US$ 481,199 for this new result. In addition, he secured a buy-in for the GGMillion$ Live at the next WSOP Paradise. The conqueror of Selouan, Schneider took second place and US$ 371,055.

In the final hand, Neves started with a raise and saw Schneider respond with a 3-bet all-in of about 11.5 bbs. The Portuguese called and revealed A6 of clubs, while the German showed KT of hearts. The board was Q8252 with three diamonds, and Neves’ A was enough to secure the victory.
