Throughout Monday (26th) at Costa do Sauípe (BA), the fourth day of BSOP Summer competitions saw several important actions. In addition to qualifying rounds, such as Day 2 of the Main Event, four competitions determined their winners, including two in progressive knockout (PKO) format. Djalma Melotto and Daniel Noronha took home the titles.

The event that awarded the largest sum on Monday was the 5 Card Omaha PKO, with a buy-in of R$ 2,500. In this competition, Djalma Melotto was able to beat the entire field of 62 entries to secure the title, as well as the prize of R$ 38,500. Yago Ferreira took R$ 23,500 for second place, while Rogério Mota, a familiar face in the modality’s competitions, completed the podium.

Between regular payout and bounties, he pocketed R$ 30,800, proving his good form at the live tables at the start of the year. Bento Rigotti was the runner-up, taking home R$ 18,550.

Finally, in addition to Melotto and Noronha, two other players shouted “champion” in the BSOP Summer hall this Monday. In the Mixed Games competition, Leandro Ruy won the R$ 2,500 Limit TEROS, beating 12 competitors to pocket R$ 9,500. And in the Super 500 edition, it was better for Ricardo Arnaldo, who overcame 162 entries and won R$ 14,000.
