Throughout Monday (1st) at the WSOP (World Series of Poker), the Brazilians took the opportunity to advance in three competitions. Highlight for João Simão who, at the tables in Las Vegas (USA), qualified on Day 1B of the Event 11 (US$ 10,000 GGMillion$ High Roller NLH), leading a group of three players from the country.

One stage after Belarmino Souza bagged chips, three more Brazilians advanced to Day 2. The second and final qualifying round recorded 209 entries, qualifying 111 names, and among them, João Simão appears in 15th place in the chip count with 317,000 chips. Additionally, Brazil also has Aloísio Dourado advancing with 157,000, and Wagner Wysotchanski with 108,000.
The lead of this Day 1B of the GGMillion$ at the WSOP went to Chang Yu Chung, from Taiwan, with 605,000 chips. In the rest of the top 3 are the pros Thomas Boivin (484,000) and Chance Kornuth (444,000). Day 2 of the competition is this Tuesday (2nd) at 4 pm (Brasília time).
The GGMillion$ will return with 206 qualifiers, combining the two initial rounds. However, this field may increase, as late registration will be open throughout the first 2h15 of Day 2, with a starting stack of 100,000 chips. Day 2 will start at blinds 1,000/2,500 bb ante 2,500.
More Brazilians bagging chips
Additionally, Brazil had players advancing on Day 1 of two other events. One of them was the Event 13 (US$ 1,500 6-Handed NLH), which recorded 1,840 entries and qualified 135 competitors. In the chip count is Yuri Martins with 257,000 chips, the 75th best mark.

In this Event 13, the partial lead is held by American David Rees, with 1,247,000 chips, and Day 2 is scheduled for this Tuesday at 3 pm. The contest will play ten more levels, starting from 5,000/10,000 bb ante 10,000 and with a minimum payout of US$ 3,317.
Finally, three Brazilians passed Day 1 of Event 14 (US$ 1,500 Mixed PLO8/FLO8/Big O). They appear among the 273 remaining from the field of 1,287 entries, securing a spot on Day 2 starting at 5 pm. They are Júlio Steffen (186,000), Raphael Nogueira (36,000), and Marcelo Valadares (28,500).
This competition is not yet in the money, as the top 194 will receive payouts, with a minimum of US$ 3,017. Action will return at blinds 1,500/3,000 bb ante 3,000 and limits 6,000/12,000, at which point Derek McMaster, from the USA, leads with 502,000 chips.
