Mariano Jimenez is champion at KSOP Iguazú and wins almost R$ 100 mil

Gradually, new champions emerge in the City Center hall, in Puerto Iguazú. This Friday (5), the great highlight of KSOP Iguazú was the Argentine Mariano Jimenez. However, this was the first time that Mariano Jimenez let out the champion’s cry at KSOP. Previously, he had already reached seven final tables, with three runner-up finishes and a third place. “I am happy. I always try to win and, yes, it was the first time at KSOP”, said the Argentine in an interview with Mundo Poker after the victory.

Thus, the winner attributed his success to the experience accumulated in online tournaments. “I believe I have a great advantage because I play a lot online, mainly. Much of the schedule is basically PKO, it’s more or less my specialty”, added the Argentine. In addition, he took home R$ 57,350 just in bounties, a value that represented a large part of the total prize pool.

Adir Bottin also achieved a good result

However, Mariano Jimenez was not the only player to lift a trophy on the day. The gaucho Adir Bottin also celebrated an important victory by winning the Seniors +48 title. The tournament registered 25 entries, had a buy-in of R$ 1,500 and distributed prizes to the top four finishers.

Finally, the title guaranteed Adir Bottin a reward of R$ 12,500. In addition, the achievement gained even more relevance because the Brazilian defeated the Argentine Francisco Belaustegui, known as the “King of the City Center”, in the heads-up. The runner-up, who holds the most titles at the casino, received a prize of R$ 8,000.
