Even before the WSOP began, a controversy was already circulating among specialized sites. This season’s regulations stipulated that players should request authorization to use sponsor patches and brands. However, some brands, such as ClubWPT Gold and CoinPoker, ended up being prohibited.

Thus, Patrick Leonard even questioned his own participation in the series. However, the Briton backed down and went to Las Vegas. Furthermore, Yuri Martins, the main reference in Brazilian poker, announced on social media that he could not use the sweatshirts with the CoinPoker brand that he brought for the trip. Even so, he uses other authorized patches at the tables.
In this way, the one who told an unusual story was Vitor Dzivielevski, Yuri’s brother. He reported on social media that he played tournaments last Thursday (4) wearing a WPT sweatshirt and cap. However, when he arrived at the table, a floor surprised him by asking him to remove the clothing.
In addition, the Brazilian recalled that even the Aldeia Poker Team patch needed prior approval and explained the solution he found. “I turned the sweatshirt inside out so that the symbol didn’t show, and I covered the cap with the Aldeia patch,” said Vitor Dzivielevski on social media when explaining what happened.

Organization did not accept

However, the solution found by the Brazilian did not please the WSOP organization. The floor stated that the WPT logo still appeared on the side of the cap. So, Vitor tried to argue and explained that, during the break, he would return to his hotel room to change the accessory. However, the organization maintained its decision, and he had to go without the cap.
However, what the Brazilian player did not expect was the kindness of an opponent. “When I looked at the table, an Israeli offered me his cap,” said Vitor, who also joked about the situation. “My mom will be very happy, wow, he put on someone else’s cap,” added the player.
Finally, the Brazilian’s good humor continued during the account. Vitor stated that he was happy with the foreigner’s attitude and, when he put the cap on his head, he joked again. “Wow, I became smarter,” he said. It is worth noting that the Israeli was not wearing the cap at that moment, as he kept the accessory stored in his bag.
