Professional Eder Campana is having a stellar week on PokerStars. Two days after winning the Super Tuesday, he once again reached the heads-up of a US$1,050 buy-in event on the red site, competing in the New Year Series this Thursday (15th).

Under the screen name “edercampana”, Eder Campana finished in second place out of a field of 94 entries in Event 102-High (US$1,050 NLH) of the PokerStars New Year Series. For this runner-up finish, the 4bet Team player pocketed US$17,359, the largest prize for a Brazilian player of the day.
Furthermore, Brazil asserted its presence in the High Roller competition by placing two more representatives at the final table. Besides Eder Campana, Brunno Botteon “botteonpoker” also went deep in the tournament, finishing fourth for US$10,367. A little further down, Iago Botelho “stek94” took seventh for US$4,785.

However, this was not the only event that saw strong performances from Brazil; quite the contrary. The Brazilian flag appeared prominently in other New Year Series events, including two players on the podium of the 102-Medium (US$109 NLH). “Hand Of D00m” was second out of 952 entries for US$11,094, with Eduardo Silva “Eduardo850” in third (US$7,908).
In Event 105-Medium (US$215 NLH PKO Thursday Thrill), three Brazilians stood out. In a field of 756 entries, Gabriel Haeffner “G_haeffner” finished third and took home US$9,089, with Dalton Hobold “daltonhb” right behind in fourth (US$5,485). Rounding out the trio, Nilson Júnior “Cabeca Rush” was sixth and earned US$4,376.
