And for good reason. That’s because, on Monday, Neymar took the podium at Event 129-High of the SCOOP (Spring Championship of Online Poker), the Main Event 2nd Chance High, with a buy-in of US$ 5,200. With the nick “neymar-jr”, the striker finished in third place among 44 entries, pocketing US$ 41,198.
By a narrow margin, this was not Brazil’s main achievement of the day. That’s because the professional Iago Botelho “stek94” became champion in Event 122-High (US$ 1,050 NLH 7-Max), securing a prize of US$ 45,000. Also in this competition, the green and yellow flag also shone with Bruno Volkmann “great dant”, who finished in fourth place in a field of 198 entries for US$ 14,000.

Also on Monday’s grind, PokerStars held a Super High Roller with a buy-in of US$ 15,000. Event 128-High on the schedule attracted 35 entries, and Brazilian Alan Karas “dictba” reached an honorable fifth place, pulling US$ 39,611. Neymar also participated in this competition, but busted before the money.
Finally, it’s worth noting the Low version of the Main Event 2nd Chance, which had entries at US$ 55. That’s because, in a field of 3,393 entries, Brazil simply occupied all six top positions. Those responsible for this feat were César Neto “cezinhaaaaaa” (1st, US$ 28,737), Wagner Rogacheski “Rogacheski” (2nd, US$ 20,485), Gustavo Goto “PIUlimeira” (3rd, US$ 14,602), “asdz1” (4th, US$ 10,409), Allan Justino “JUSTINO” (5th, US$ 7,420) and Jhonatas Staygler “jhstaygler” (6th, US$ 5,289).
