The high stakes poker universe is in Jeju, South Korea, for the Triton Super High Roller Series starting this week. However, days before, the series already began with the action by holding Triton One, with slightly more modest buy-ins. Among the competitions, the Main Event and the High Roller delivered figures worthy of the main festival.

The Triton One Main Event exploded, with an US$ 8 thousand buy-in, a field of 1.230 entries and a prize pool of US$ 8,9 million. The title went to the Chinese Wenjie Zhao, but due to a heads-up deal, the Spaniard Jon Vallinas, who finished second, took home the biggest score.
Still, both pocketed seven figures. Zhao left with US$ 1.160.000, while Vallinas earned US$ 1.337.000. It is a big difference compared to the other podium member, the Japanese Shota Nakanishi, who left with US$ 641 thousand in third. Players from Asia dominated the final table.

Brazil narrowly missed having a representative at this final table. Felipe Ketzer came close, but finished in 13th, pocketing a nice US$ 87 thousand. Throughout the ITM, Alisson Piekazewicz (41st, US$ 26.000) and Higor Seibel (170th, US$ 12.800) also appeared with the green and yellow flag.
Valuable deal also in the High Roller
And just like in the Main Event, the US$ 15.000 Triton One High Roller saw big figures and a deal in the final stretch. This time, it was a 3-handed deal, with Malaysian Ang Yang Siang finishing as champion in a field of 490 entries for US$ 932 thousand. Isaac Haxton was the runner-up and left with US$ 940 thousand, while Bryn Kenney pulled in US$ 891 thousand.

Also in this High Roller, Brazil was among the prize winners. Gabriel Tavares was the country’s representative, finishing in 22nd place. For his run, he earned US$ 49 thousand. In short, the competition distributed US$ 6.933.990 in prizes.
Triton Jeju has already started

After these two major competitions, Triton Jeju kicked off its activities over the weekend. As usual, the first competitions took place in the Short Deck format, and the Netherlands won the US$ 25.000 Short Deck Single Day Event.
Rene van Krevelen beat the field of 40 entries, pocketing US$ 308 thousand. The seven members of the final table were the winners of the US$ 975 thousand prize pool, in a list that included names of the caliber of Jason Koon and Stephen Chidwick.
