It is true that the player migrated from tournaments to “cash-game” sessions, but not even the lucrative WSOP cash games can count on Charlie Carrel’s presence. He has been banned from entering the United States since 2017, when he was arrested for drug possession.

How was the arrest?
Between jokes about Donald Trump’s immigration policy in the United States, the poker player told how his arrest happened. According to Carrel, a customs agent searched his bags and found three pink pills in a bottle. The Brit said he was not sure if he had done something illegal, but also did not know if there were more drugs.
Thus, the poker star was taken to a jail in Clark County, Nevada. He ended up behind bars for one night, but was able to understand how the United States prison system works. Even after 8 years since the incident, he still cannot enter the country that hosts the WSOP.
