The Santa Catarina team was crowned champion of the Brazilian Team Poker Championship (CBPE) on Wednesday (22) in 2026. The points dispute, held at BSOP Winter and organized in conjunction with the Brazilian Texas Hold’em Confederation (CBTH), saw another two-time champion in its history.

The Santa Catarina team had already passed Day 1 in the lead and managed to maintain the advantage, finishing with 151 points, the best score among the 22 participating teams. It was only nine points ahead of the runner-up, Goiás, which narrowly missed becoming the second three-time champion in CBPE history.
Minas Gerais, which hovered around the top positions throughout the dispute, secured the bronze medal in the final moments. With 124 points, it surpassed Paraná, which had an excellent Final Day, by just one point, in a duel that lasted until the final hands.
Defending the title, Rio de Janeiro had qualified with the last spot for the Final Day and had a good recovery campaign, finishing in sixth. Between the teams from Rio de Janeiro and Paraná, Mato Grosso appeared. Finally, Ceará, Acre, Distrito Federal, and Alagoas completed the top 10.

With some changes to the roster compared to what was previously announced, Santa Catarina achieved the second CBPE title in its history with Kelvin Kerber, Geraldo César, Carlos “Rox”, Johnatan “Dodô” Oliveira, Camila Kons, and Murilo Felício, led by Rodrigo Garrido. On the Final Day, the 12 qualified teams competed in a Deep Stack Dealer’s Choice NLH/PLO tournament in KO format.
Furthermore, the two-time championship also meant the end of a ten-year drought. This is because the first title for Santa Catarina came in 2016. Kerber and Garrido, incidentally, are the only remaining members from the previous victory.
Now, the hall of CBPE two-time champions includes Santa Catarina, Goiás, and Paraná. Above them, only Rio de Janeiro, the sole three-time champion of the event. São Paulo, Rondônia, Acre, and Amazonas each have one title.
