Professional Murilo Fidelis won on Thursday (30) in São Paulo (SP) the title of the R$ 15,000 2-Day High Roller at BSOP Winter. After starting with a good stack, he faced problems at the beginning of the decisive round and had to overcome difficulties to achieve victory.

In summary, Murilo Fidelis beat a field of 105 entries to win the 2-Day High Roller, pocketing R$ 340 thousand for the achievement. At one point, this result seemed far away, as the player from Ituverava (SP) suffered a series of setbacks that left him with the equivalent of only 1 big blind in the stack.
However, as the action approached the FT, Fidelis managed to string together some folds to get back into the game. And while other competitors fought for the spotlight, he pulled smaller pots to stay in and secure pay jumps.

After Fidelis took the lead in the heads-up, he was never surpassed again, ending the match in a pre-flop all-in by the Mexican, who had 77. Montoya was ahead at the showdown, as Fidelis had AJo, but the A on the flop A64 soon changed that situation. A frequent figure at the physical tables of the Brazilian circuit, Murilo Fidelis ended a drought that had lasted four years. His last title in the series had been at the BSOP Winter Millions 2022, where he won a R$ 1,500 Turbo KO. The player had already come close with three final tables in Rio Quente, but now, he finally found the top of the podium again.
