Murilo Pedroso finally achieved the main goal in the Main Event of the Enjoy Poker Tour. After two campaigns that ended as runner-up, the Brazilian won the title in Punta del Este by defeating the Argentine Maximiliano Vaccalluzzo in the heads-up. With the result, he earned US$ 80,945.

Thus, the title crowned Murilo’s consistency in the series held in Uruguay. A resident of Rio Grande do Sul, he regularly attends the stages in Punta del Este and, over the past few years, has accumulated significant results in the festival. This time, he turned experience into victory.
Additionally, Vaccalluzzo started the final table as chip leader and reached the final again. However, the Argentine was ultimately overcome by the Brazilian in the decisive duel and secured US$ 56,855 for second place.
In this way, the Chinese Tian Mengshi completed the tournament podium and received US$ 35,495. Thus, the top three finishers led the distribution of the main prizes of the Main Event.

Murilo clinches the title on the last hand of the tournament

However, in the hand that ended the tournament, Murilo Pedroso showed A♦7♠, while Maximiliano Vaccalluzzo revealed Q♣J♦. Then, the board 3♣2♥2♠T♥K♦ kept the Brazilian’s ace high ahead and confirmed the victory.
Nevertheless, Murilo highlighted his special relationship with the Uruguayan casino. “Here I feel at home. When I come to play, I always feel very good, I really like coming to Punta del Este and it’s wonderful to win here”, he said in an interview with the media of Enjoy Punta del Este.
Finally, the title had an even greater meaning for the Brazilian. Besides winning his first Main Event of the Enjoy Poker Tour, Murilo Pedroso ended the streak of runner-up finishes and confirmed the excellent record he built in Punta del Este.
