Thus, during the WSOP this year, Negreanu accumulated eight cashes in PLO tournaments. Among them was the US$ 100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller, an event in which he won his eighth WSOP bracelet and took home US$ 2,257,718.
However, the Canadian explained that his relationship with PLO goes far beyond recent results. For him, the variant directly matches his main characteristics at the tables. According to him, post-flop reading is one of the greatest advantages he has developed throughout his career.

Negreanu explains why he prefers PLO
Thus, according to Negreanu in the interview, PLO offers a different dynamic from No-Limit Hold’em. Equities are much closer pre-flop, which reduces the impact of some mistakes. Therefore, the player believes he can better exploit his skills post-flop.
In this way, the Canadian rejects the idea that PLO is just a game of luck. Negreanu believes players have much more control in the variant than many imagine. For him, this characteristic makes the game even more suitable to his style, which has become a reference for many years.
