Joe McKeehen added another important achievement to his resume this Tuesday (11). The champion of the 2015 WSOP Main Event won the US$ 5,300 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship and secured US$ 462,600 for the title.

Thus, the tournament gathered 673 entries and put McKeehen in front of a very tough final table. Among the opponents were experienced names like Loni Hui and Darren Rabinowitz, who recently won a WSOP bracelet.
However, David Greufe also had a remarkable week in poker. The player reached the heads-up against McKeehen in search of the biggest result of his career. Still, he had to settle for second place and US$ 390,804.
Additionally, McKeehen’s result gained even more weight given the context of the festival. Three players won four tournaments during the SHRPO 2026, something unprecedented in the history of the series. Raminder Singh was the first to reach the mark, followed by Jean Laurent and then Mehmet Siginc.

McKeehen overcomes 10-1 deficit in heads-up
Thus, McKeehen eliminated Loni Hui in third place, who received US$ 250,000. The champion had a good stack to start the heads-up against Greufe, but the battle quickly changed course.
However, Greufe made a great comeback and managed to open an advantage of more than 10 to 1 in chips. Despite the huge disadvantage, McKeehen reacted after hitting a flush on the river and returned to the fight for the title.
Finally, McKeehen regained the lead after Greufe tried a bluff against his nut flush. Shortly after, the champion closed the match by winning a pot in a 60/40 situation. Thus, he secured the SHRPO trophy and raised his recorded poker earnings to more than US$ 22 million.
