Andrew Robl starred in one of the biggest hands in the history of High Stakes Poker. The cash game pro got involved in a pot of US$ 2,478,000 against Eric Wasserson. However, Robl ended the hand without winning any chips.

Thus, the hand took place during the broadcast of High Stakes Poker at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas. The pot surpassed the show’s previous record of US$ 2,421,500. Santhosh Suvarna had set the mark earlier in the summer, but that pot involved three players.
However, this time, only Andrew Robl and Eric Wasserson contested the biggest pot in the show’s history. The action started with Wasserson raising to US$ 20,000 with A♦9♥. Then, Robl made a 3-bet to US$ 110,000 holding J♦10♦.
However, Wasserson did not give up the hand. He raised again to US$ 280,000. Robl called and took the action to the flop. Then, the action grew huge and the chips in the center of the table totaled more than US$ 2.4 million in play.

Robl goes all-in on a draw
Thus, on the flop, the cards came 9♦7♠4♠. Wasserson had hit top pair and chose to check after Robl also checked. Then, the turn brought 3♦. Robl gained a flush draw and a gutshot straight draw, but again checked. Wasserson then bet US$ 200,000.
Thus, Robl decided to accelerate the action. He made a check-raise and put Wasserson all-in for his US$ 739,000 remaining. The opponent had only a pair but decided to call. Additionally, the two players agreed to see the river twice, thus reducing variance in the gigantic pot.
Finally, Wasserson took it all, as the first river was a 6♥ and the second an A♠. The result was tough for Robl, who ended the session with a US$ 669,500 loss. On the other hand, Wasserson secured a profit of US$ 2.1 million. Besides them, Alejandro Lococo lost US$ 1,021,000.
