North American Maurice Hawkins is even more isolated as the WSOP Circuit ring record holder. Last week, he went to the state of Mississippi to participate in the WSOPC Tunica, and he didn’t leave before winning two titles. Thus, he now reaches 23 circuit jewels.

Maurice Hawkins arrived at WSOPC Tunica already as the circuit’s greatest champion, with 21 titles, one more than Canadian Ari Engel. However, early in the series, he increased his lead, winning the Mini Main Event for a prize of US$35,146.
Last Monday (2nd), the star returned to the top of the podium, this time in the Double Stack Closer, with a buy-in of US$400. He surpassed 127 entries, earning US$10,473 and another ring for his collection. Now, Engel will have to win three WSOP Circuit tournaments before Hawkins’ next title if he wants to match him.
A respectable gift for Maurice Hawkins
Furthermore, on social media, Maurice Hawkins revealed that this last title had an even more special flavor. This is because the 23rd ring came on his birthday, February 2nd. In addition, for being the best player of the series, he also secured an entry into the WSOP Main Event, worth US$10,000.

“On my birthday, it’s like I’m giving myself a gift,” Hawkins celebrated on social media X. “See you soon, now I’m going to Disney with the kids,” he added.
In summary, the race for the position of WSOP Circuit’s greatest champion has Hawkins with 23, Engel with 20, and Dan Lowery in third place with 19 rings. The secondary circuit of the world series, which goes to less popular destinations and promotes more accessible tournaments, takes place throughout the year not only in the USA but also in other countries on several continents.
