Luiz Augusto Conceição wins the KSOP Rio Main Event Light; see champions

On its penultimate day of competition, the KSOP Rio hosted many important events at the Sheraton Grand Rio. In addition to the formation of the Main Event final table and more qualifying rounds, Monday (19) of the festival crowned four champions, with Luiz Augusto Conceição being the most prominent among them.

A player from Nilópolis (RJ), in Baixada Fluminense, Luiz Augusto Conceição took home the R$ 1,500 Main Event Light. The tournament, which had two initial rounds on Sunday (18), welcomed the remaining players for the decisive stage on Monday, and from a total field of 151 entries, Conceição emerged as the champion, earning R$ 37,000.

In the heads-up, Luiz Augusto Conceição made a deal with Marcos Kac, and the runner-up received R$ 30,000. José Artur Ricci completed the podium and pocketed a prize of R$ 20,000, in a final table that also featured foreign presence with the Uruguayan Nicolás Zeballos.

Furthermore, another tournament concluded in the penultimate session of KSOP Rio was the Seniors. The tournament, which also had a buy-in of R$ 1,500, allowed only players aged 48 or older to register and recorded 54 actions. Marco Caminha took the title and a prize of R$ 17,610, with Jaílson Salazar in second (R$ 14,490) and Carlos Cunha in third (R$ 9,250).

Finally, the two most accessible events also took place. Rodrigo Miranda won the R$ 1,000 Kings Turbo, earning R$ 10,000 after a 3-handed deal for the top spot among 50 participants. In the Turbo 500, Almir Reis was the winner, the best among 68 competitors for a prize of R$ 7,000.
