From the field of 626 entries, 24 players returned to compete on Day 3 this Monday, and the action unfolded until the field was reduced to nine competitors. Alexandre Couto leads the chip count with 5,575,000 chips, well ahead of second place, Geraldo Magela, with 3,740,000. Douglas Olímpio completes the top 3, holding 3,395,000 chips.

The rest of the list of survivors proves there are chances for the Main Event to become a back-to-back championship. This is because Thiago Neves, sixth in chip count, was the Start-Up champion, while the short stack Larissa Metran won the Ladies of this BSOP Rio Quente.

Day 3 of the Main Event seemed like it would have a quick conclusion. In just over two hours, the field had already reached ten players. However, the final table bubble extended, making the competition last another two hours. Until Vinícius Perri, with KQs, went all in and received a call from Couto, who held AQs. The board 99364 with no flush possibilities confirmed the elimination.

The prize pool of the BSOP Rio Quente Main Event reached R$ 1,925,610, and all players who made the final table have already guaranteed at least R$ 31,000. The Final Day will be this Tuesday (5) starting at 2 PM (Brasília time), resuming action at blinds 30,000/60,000 bb ante 60,000 and with R$ 370,000 reserved for the champion.
