American David Peters is a well-known and respected figure among those who follow the High Roller scene. But despite always being in the main events, he had been enduring a streak of disappointing results at the WSOP (World Series of Poker). That drought ended this Tuesday (14), when he won the Event 94 (US$ 10,000 6-Handed NLH Championship).

On the penultimate day of action at the world series in Las Vegas (USA), David Peters finally reclaimed the gold bracelet by beating a field of 558 entries. This became the fifth bracelet of his career, and besides the jewel, the player also earned US$ 1,001,391. The last opponent in his path was Bulgarian Fahredin Mustafov.

Although the structure indicated three days of tournament, Event 94 extended, requiring a fourth day after Day 3 action went until 2 a.m.. The extra round featured four players, and Mustafov started as chip leader. The combination of pots won by Peters and two folds by Mikolaitis against the Bulgarian soon gave the lead to the American.
Mustafov managed to recover but reached the heads-up with three times fewer chips than David Peters, who was responsible for both eliminations. Thus, David Peters now reaches US$ 50.7 million in live tournament earnings in his career, according to Hendon Mob. Owner of the 13th highest all-time mark, he had not won a bracelet since the world series edition in Las Vegas (USA) in 2022. On that occasion, the star won the 100K High Roller Bounty NLH, earning US$ 1.1 million.
Finally, it is also worth noting that Event 94 of the WSOP awarded Brazilians. Among the 85 prize pool recipients of US$ 5,189,400 were João Simão (41st, US$ 25,608), Dennys Ramos (63rd, US$ 20,144) and Ramon Kropmanns (72nd, US$ 20,144).
