Brazilian Felipe Boianovsky won the US$ 10.300 Phil’s Thrill again, one of the most expensive regular online poker tournaments. This Sunday (8) at ACR Poker, the famous professional pocketed six digits by defeating the qualified field, including a robust comeback in the heads-up.

Phil’s Thrill is held weekly, and in this edition, it attracted 70 entries. By overcoming all opponents with the nickname “MsChanandlerBong”, Felipe Boianovsky pocketed no less than US$ 177.800. To do so, he had to turn the tide in the decisive duel against the Austrian “FASTPLAYFAST”.
When the heads-up began, Boianovsky seemed doomed to second place. He had only about 5% of the chips in play, and needed immediate help. Right on the first hand, he woke up with QQ and managed to double up by beating the Austrian’s K4s. He lined up a few more double-ups to get back into the game.
From then on, the dispute became more balanced, with lead changes. When he took the lead and opened a slight gap, Felipe Boianovsky put “FASTPLAYFAST” against the wall pre-flop. Upon receiving the call, he showed K5o, and the opponent had QTs. The Brazilian formed a straight on the JT4QA board to secure the victory.

Beyond Felipe Boianovsky: more heavy scores for Brazil at ACR Poker
Also in this Phil’s Thrill won by Felipe Boianovsky, Brazil had another representative at the final table. With the nickname “PORKNOMAR”, Ramon Kropmanns finished in seventh place, pocketing US$ 39.200.
However, there was still room for another six-figure prize for a Brazilian. Fernando Nogami “nogamisama” was able to reach second place among 1.182 entries in the US$ 630 Sunday High Roller, and as such, earned US$ 109.973.
