Matt Stout, founder of the Charity Series of Poker (CSOP), became the target of assault accusations after videos recorded during a private poker game in Las Vegas. The footage shows an argument that ended in a physical confrontation. Meanwhile, the alleged victim reported that they filed a complaint against the player.

Thus, Aaron “Daliman” O’Rourke posted the video on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter, and stated that the episode occurred on Tuesday (28). The argument supposedly started because Stout did not like the presence of his ex-partner outside the residence.
However, during the argument, O’Rourke demanded a $20,000 debt that, according to him, Stout promised to pay months ago. Shortly after, the tension escalated. The footage shows the moment when the verbal argument escalates into a physical confrontation, interrupted by another person who was in the house.
However, Matt Stout chose not to comment on the case. “At the moment, I am out of town dealing with a family matter. When I return and have the opportunity to review the facts and consult the appropriate parties, I will make any statement I consider appropriate”, declared the player who is accompanying his father.

Ex-partner makes new accusations and CSOP launches investigation
Thus, Katie Morgan, ex-partner of Matt Stout, also posted a statement on social media. “He was an extremely abusive partner, both verbally and physically, breaking doors and furniture in fits of rage, shouting obscenities, and hurting himself”, she wrote.
Additionally, Brian Kip, vice president of the Charity Series of Poker, confirmed that the organization has opened an internal investigation. For him, the behavior shown in the video does not represent the values of the entity. He emphasized that CSOP’s priority remains the work done with charitable institutions.
Finally, the episode divided opinions in the poker community. Mike Matusow defended Matt Stout, while other players criticized the behavior displayed in the footage, including Caitlin Comeskey. So far, the investigation is ongoing and new information may emerge as the case develops.
