The APL Series, a festival aimed at the Asian audience with competitions in the Chinese yuan currency, stirred up the house in recent weeks, closing with the Main Event last Monday (2). And the Brazilian Rafael Loiola cashed big in the main competition.

The Red Horse Main Event of the APL Series had a buy-in of ¥ 2.026, equivalent to about US$ 293. In a multiple Day 1 structure, the event attracted 15.076 total entries, enough to form a prize pool of ¥ 28.100.457 (US$ 4,07 million), exceeding the ¥ 25 million (US$ 3,6 million) guaranteed.
From this giant field, 1.437 players advanced to Day 2, which played out until the final table, held on Monday. And amidst this sea of players, Rafael Loiola reached third place, pocketing ¥ 2.813.635, that is, US$ 407.920. Due to a 3-handed deal, this was the second-largest figure awarded in the tournament.

The one who took the largest share of the prize pool was “KTO_Poker”, from Singapore, who ironically finished in second place. The player earned ¥ 2.899.673, or US$ 420.394. The champion, the Thai “Folk Folk”, walked away with ¥ 2.669.219 (US$ 386.983).
And besides Rafael Loiola, other Brazilians performed well in the massive field of the APL Series Main Event. When the event narrowed down to just two tables, there were four representatives from the country. Lucas Menck “Lobo Cinzento” finished in 16º for US$ 14.219, while Marcílio Santos “GIUSEPPE CADURA” was 15º, and “pablocampari” was 14º, securing US$ 19.540, each.
