Colombian Sebastian Fonseca continues to be one of the main figures in the Brazilian live poker scene. This Thursday (23) in São Paulo (SP), he won the R$ 15,000 PLO5 1-Day High Roller PKO at BSOP Winter, securing his second title of the circuit season.

The five-card competition received 47 entries, forming a prize pool of R$ 300,350. Upon becoming champion, Sebastian Fonseca pocketed R$ 155,000, a sum of the regular prize and bounties. Lucas Baliza, even without registering any knockouts, reached second place, and the legendary Igor Trafane “Federal” completed the podium.

Shortly after a great rise by “Federal” in the final stretch of the tournament, Fonseca managed the more modest stack and waited for the right moments to act. He managed to triple his stack twice, taking the reins of the dispute and, moments later, making the two final eliminations.

Thus, Sebastian Fonseca now records his second title in the 2026 season of the Brazilian poker circuit. In the last stage, the BSOP Rio Quente, he won the R$ 10,000 1-Day High Roller PKO, collecting R$ 72,000.
A frequent figure at the green and yellow tables, these good results from Sebastian Fonseca are not new. The player finished second in the overall ranking of 2025, behind only his compatriot Carlos Serrano. Last year, he had two titles and another incredible 12 final tables.
