Event 96 recorded 892 entries, qualifying 158 players for Day 2. Vivian Saliba is second in the chip count with 788,000 chips, behind only the Ukrainian Stanislav Halatenko, who has 950,000. Besides Saliba, Brazilians Vitor Wagner (385,000), Leandro Tondato (289,000), and José Orlando Fernandes (107,000) also advanced.
The chip count for this Day 2 is full of big names from the global scene. For example, Alex Foxen (588,000), Daniel Negreanu (111,000), Erik Seidel (98,000), and Ren Lin (91,000) advanced. The round will play ten more levels starting at 5 p.m. (Brasília time) this Monday (13), with action resuming at blinds 2,000/4,000 bb ante 4,000. The top 134 will receive prizes, with a minimum payout of US$ 6,033.

Also throughout Sunday, the WSOP held Day 1B of Event 93 (US$ 1,500 The Closer NLH), setting the field for the decisive Day 2.
