Brazil was represented in one of the most crowded and valuable final tables of EPT Paris. This Sunday (1st), the last day of the PokerStars live series in the Parisian capital, Wellington Lessa competed in the final of the € 10.300 High Roller. The run earned a six-figure prize for the green and yellow.

Wellington Lessa, who lives in France, had already recorded a final table at the start of this EPT Paris. Now, however, he achieves his main prize of the festival, finishing in sixth place among 352 entries in the High Roller. For this performance, he pocketed € 135.900.
The much-coveted title ended up going to the American Brandon Wilson. The player, who had already won a 25K at this same EPT Paris, returned to the top of the podium and earned a handsome € 668.700. He beat Klemens Roiter in heads-up, on a podium that also featured WSOP Main Event champion Hossein Ensan.

This competition distributed € 3.379.200 in payouts, and as expected, the ITM was star-studded. Near the FT, figures like the Dutchman Teun Mulder (11º, € 65.800) and the Canadian Mike Watson (15º, € 49.700) fell. Also noteworthy was another Brazilian besides Wellington Lessa: Carlos Ribeiro finished in 22nd place, pocketing € 32.700.

Brazil in the final of Event 47 as well
In the same session that concluded the EPT Paris activities, Brazil appeared at another final table. It was in Event 47, the € 10.200 buy-in NL Hold’em played in a single day. Gustavo Campos took the green and yellow flag to the final, finishing in fifth place out of 45 entries for € 36.720.
In this event, the title went to Jeremie Zouari, a home player, pocketing € 140.400. In a heavyweight 3-handed battle, he dispatched Japan’s Masato Yokosawa in third (€ 62.640) and Latvia’s Aleksejs Ponakovs in heads-up (€ 92.880).
