Current Brazilian circuit champion, Carlos Serrano is firmly in pursuit of another victory on Brazilian soil. The Colombian appears as chip leader at the BSOP Championship, a R$ 25 thousand tournament of the BSOP Winter that held its Day 2 this Tuesday (28).

From a total field of 240 entries, 24 players remain in the competition. Carlos Serrano will start Day 3 with 2,380,000 chips, followed by the renowned Brazilian professional Renan Bruschi, who has 1,930,000 in second place. Closing the top 3 is Vinícius Gonçalves, with 1,640,000 chips.
The rest of the chip count includes several other big names in the scene. For example, still alive in the competition are Gabriel Tavares (1,265,000), Kelvin Kerber (1,250,000), Alisson Piekazewicz (1,115,000), and Jacques Ortega (885,000).

Throughout Day 2, the BSOP Championship revealed its payouts and has already started distributing prizes. The prize pool reached R$ 5,164,800, rewarding the top 34. Among the round’s awardees were Matheus Machado (25th, R$ 50,000), Marcelo Aziz (33rd, R$ 43,000), and Paulo Joanello (34th, R$ 43,000).
Day 3 of the BSOP Championship will take place this Wednesday (29) starting at 2 PM (Brasília time), resuming action at blinds 10,000/25,000 bb ante 25,000 with 90-minute levels. The structure plans for six levels, defining the field for the Final Day. The minimum payout for the round is R$ 50 thousand, and the prize for the champion is R$ 1,150,000.
