Ethan “Rampage” Yau has once again stirred the poker news. After a series of great results, the vlogger entered into a public dispute with Allen Kessler on social media. Additionally, the American fired heavy criticism at the veteran and challenged him to a heads-up duel.

Thus, it all started when Rampage responded to comments on social media claiming that several players would easily defeat him. Then, the champion highlighted winning his second WSOP bracelet and recalled that he defeated Adrián Mateos in the heads-up of the US$ 5,000 WSOP Online Hybrid Championship, a result that earned US$ 228,825.
However, Allen Kessler joined the discussion and stated that Rampage would be at a disadvantage against several well-known names on the circuit. For this reason, the vlogger responded with an invitation to compete in a NLH heads-up match. The blinds would be US$ 100/US$ 200 or higher, over 100,000 hands.
However, Kessler declined the proposal. A specialist in mixed games, he said he was not interested in facing Rampage in NLH. In contrast, the veteran said he could suggest other players willing to accept the challenge, which further escalated the exchange of provocations.

Exchange of accusations complicates the challenge
Additionally, the debate took on a much more aggressive tone. Rampage accused Allen Kessler of constantly belittling other players on social media and questioned his opponent’s stance regarding the challenge. Moreover, the vlogger made personal attacks during the discussion.
However, Allen Kessler reiterated that he would accept playing against Rampage. But he conditioned the duel on playing mixed games, the format in which he built his career. On the other hand, Rampage made it clear that he would not face the players suggested by Kessler and stated that the proposal was purely promotional.
Finally, both had a positive summer at the 2026 World Series of Poker. Rampage won his second career bracelet and also accumulated major victories at cash game tables. Meanwhile, Allen Kessler reached two final tables, finishing among the top four in bracelet events.
