Adrián Jiménez wins Start-Up, and Argentinians earn big at BSOP Summer

In just three sessions, BSOP Summer has already generated great stories. In addition to Pedro Cassar’s feat, who simply conquered the two 25K High Rollers held so far, another notable achievement belongs to the “hermanos”. Players from Argentina have won the main titles so far, excluding the HRs, and Adrián Jiménez leads the way.

Adrián Jiménez conquered the Start-Up, a traditional tournament that opens the stages of the Brazilian circuit. This edition had a buy-in of R$ 1,500 and two starting days, generating a field of 495 entries. By overcoming all opponents, the Argentine pocketed R$ 110 thousand. Vitor Bessa took second place, and furthermore, the final table also featured another representative of the blue and white flag.

The other valuable competition of the weekend was the 6K 1-Day Turbo, held this Sunday (25) at the tables of Costa do Sauípe (BA). Among 65 entries, Argentina also prevailed with Leandro Bustillo, owner of a prize of R$ 92 thousand. Victor Castro was the runner-up and took R$ 66,150, while Colombian Sebastian Fonseca took R$ 43 thousand for third place.

Similarly, BSOP Summer held other R$ 6,000 buy-in competitions over the first three days of the event. Inaugurating the actions, the 6K 1-Day Deepstack attracted 28 entries, and Tiago Aguiar conquered it to take R$ 50 thousand. On Saturday (24), Bruno Vargas took R$ 40 thousand by winning the 6K Deepstack Mystery Bounty, outplaying 45 participants.

Finally, many others celebrated titles over the BSOP Summer weekend. Speaking of those that yielded the largest sums, Leonardo Carlessi beat the 120 entries of the R$ 2,500 Freezeout to pocket R$ 60 thousand. Also noteworthy was the R$ 1,500 Big Stack PKO, which yielded R$ 44,500 to the champion Lázaro Gouveia, the best among 151 entries.
